Ses oeuvres d'inspiration personnelle sont dominées par la présence du personnage, lequel est traité de manière très rèaliste bien qu'il évolue dans des univers imaginaires empreints d'onirisme et de reférences mythologiques.

Denis Jacques, artist-portraitist, studied at the Cégep of Trois-Rivières and now teaches oil painting and dry pastel classes, drawing and portrait techniques and regularly presents conferences on these subjects.

His paintings drawn from his own inspiration are dominated by the presence of the human figure, very realistically developed while evolving in an imaginary universe and deeply evoking mythological and visionary images.
